$Tesla (TSLA.US)$At the beginning of October, Tesla reported Q3 deliveries of 241K, surpassing the consensus Street estimate by 8K vehicles and setting the automaker up for a potential earnings beat. When Tesla delivered its Q4 results in 2020, management provided FY 21 delivery guidance of 50% Y/Y growth, translating into roughly 750K vehicles. That number now seems conservative given that Tesla has already delivered 627K vehicles through three quarters.
Tesla will report earnings this Wednesday, Oct 20 after the market closes in what will be the most watched earnings this week alongside Netflix and Intel's.

Tesla's recent stock price surge makes a lot of sense in light of the news that it is surging on moomoo. I don't see that as a positive for any long term Tesla shareholder. It's not bad either, its just not a positive. It is what it is.

I don't get it why is the focus still on delivery nrs. Without delivering FSD before anyone else, the stock's valuation is a joke. Tesla's not a stock, it's a religion. But kudos to Elon for taking BEVs to mainstream.

There is no other company that is developing 'FSD' that can navigate freely (potentially) in unmapped areas. When and if Tesla develops true FSD, it will be first. When Tesla achieves true Level 3 and/or 4 outside bounded areas, it will be the first. Meanwhile, they will sell subscriptions for something that is 'mostly autonomous driving' or close to it.
