Earnings’ effect on stock price
I have tried trading $Apple (AAPL.US)$ before it’s earnings announcement. Based on the information I gathered that time, Apple would most likely have a surge in profit and hence decided to buy its share before the announcement. As expected the price rose soon after the announcement. The earnings greatly boost investors’ confidence in the stock, believing that they could make profit by investing in and if it does better than previous earnings, it will further prove to them that the company has strong and stable growth in long term.
