The first batch of MSCI China A50 ETFs approved, foreign capital continues to increase holdings in A-share core assets.

On the morning of October 18th, MSCI China A50 Interconnection Index Futures officially started trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. In the afternoon of the same day, the first 4 fund companies including Huaxia, Nanfang, E Fund, and Huitianfu Fund submitted the "MSCI China A50 Interconnection Index ETF", which has also been approved. It is reported that the index reflects the performance of A-shares by tracking 50 stocks from 11 industries, which may greatly enhance the enthusiasm and attractiveness of the A-share market. Professionals believe that "amid the continuous inflow of international funds and the trend of institutionalized investment by domestic residents, the A-share market will usher in very good long-term investment opportunities. Investors can grasp the overall investment opportunities in the A-share market by tracking its index product - the MSCI China A50 Interconnection ETF."

What are the characteristics of MSCI China A50?

The MSCI China index is an index compiled by the internationally renowned index compiler Morgan Stanley (MSCI) that tracks the performance of Chinese concept stocks, mainly targeting international and domestic investors in the Chinese market, including QDII and QFII license holders.

As the latest product in the China index series, the MSCI China A50 Interconnection Index follows the industry weight allocation of its parent index, the MSCI China A Share Index, tracking the performance of the largest 50 stocks from 11 industries covered by the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS), ensuring diversified sector allocations, balanced representation of the broad Chinese A-share market, thereby better reflecting the economic structure of China.
