Short trades during earnings
The earning reportings are typically interesting for short term trading. However good earnings even exceeding analysts’ forecasts don’t usually push the stock price upwards, instead it dipped for some reasons. $Apple(AAPL.US$ in July is one of recent examples, I entered with the anticipation for good results and indeed it has a whopping third quarter. Unfortunately the price dipped because of not so positive guidance from its CFO. So I chose to average down to hold it longer. For the coming earnings, I am placing my bets on $Qualtrics International(XM.US$ to give me nice bucks on good results.
