  • Syuee :

  • Upncoming1841 : When market is closed, I read the comments and Sharingan of experience posted by analysts, traders and investors on moo moo, Reddit, telegram groups etc to find out the latest hot stocks and ideas. Moo moo is a very good platform as I can read comments by traders/investors from USA and Asia.

  • GT1982 : I only do either of these 2 when the stock market is closed and these 2 are the direct opposite of each other.

    1) I simply rest and don't think about the market at all. Not even something remotely close.

The rationale is very simple. I have used my brain juice and killed my brain cells during the market hours. So after market hours are for me to recharge and relax.

I also find a clear mind tends to make better decisions.

    2) At times I will spend some moments to do my homework aka due diligence on a company that I have spotted with potential. This includes going through the fundamental metrics and a quick analysis of the charts.

Yeah, the above two activities are as contradicting as it can gets but well, that's the life of an investor.

  • Rocket Man : When the market is closed. Relax chill and spend quality timr with your love ones

  • GratefulPanda : [undefined][undefined][undefined]

  • Jia Yung : When the stock market is closed, of course this is the time you can refresh your analysis and news regarding your portfolio to chase up with the insight status, or else you can just enjoy your weekend with family or friends since it is a weekend after all[undefined]Cheers[undefined]

[undefined]Feel free to leave your great insight!

  • Nikkii : None of these. If must choose 1, TSLA maybe.

  • HopeAlways : When the stock market is closed, I would use the time  to do research and analyse stocks as this could help me to find ideal investment opportunities. Stock research is useful as it could help me to evaluate a company to decide whether it is worth adding or holding to my long term stock portfolio. Gathering my stock research materials like financial reports and company announcements/news and analyst reports would help me to review the company's financials. It is helpful to narrow down to what to look out for. Being a long term fundamental investor, I would zero into the company's sales, net income, EPS, P/E, ROA and ROE ratios. These would allow me to be familiarised with the financial health of the company. Besides these financial metrics, I would also attempt to find out more on whether the company has sustainable competitive advantages, good management team, and understand the overall industry trends. It would be important to put the research into context, to see how the company fits into the bigger picture by comparing the financial numbers and key metrics to industry averages and other companies in the same industry. By doing sufficient research, I could find stocks trading at a discount to their intrinsic value, and thus be in a better position to generate reasonable returns in the long term.
