I usually look at all three indicators - fundamental analysis, technical analysis and recent news.
Using FA, I select the stock or business to own. Using TA, I find a good timing for entry or exit and recent news is usually a trigger for movement in the price trend.
Macro factors are typically not considered as deeply as the above factors.
