Batteries are expensive and the weight adds up leading to lower efficiency. If your EV will travel a solid 4 hours on a charge, then you are likely ready for some food, a comfort break and a stretching of the legs. I would find it more important that the car can take advantage of Electrify America's 350kW chargers so the car is ready for another long drive in a minimum length of time. I can see why Lucid might want to build in an excessive amount of range into a car so they have something to advertise that offsets the sticker price, but it isn't a valuable feature in the real world. Anybody with the sort of money being asked for a Lucid is likely not living in an apartment or doesn't have private parking where they could charge at home. It's also likely they work at a company where they would have a reserved parking spot and charging could be fitted there as well.
