Based on annual report, it seems that Futu is fully licensed by HKMA to conduct its operations in Hong Kong (Type 1 to 9 license). Its legal entities are mainly set up in Hong Kong, with only 2 entities in China. I could not find much information on their client's distribution, but my guess is that most of their clients are outside of China (HK, SG).
Do u think the market's panic mode is justifiable, or just being in blind panic?
Honestly, i got burnt very badly from this price jump. But i need to know if this is even justifiable.

haroit27 OP CongRocket : To me, if its false, the market will eventually correct. But the problem if its real, in China, your investment is likely going to zero soon.
Duskerdawn : I got burnt too. You can do an estimation from the quarterly reports. From FUTU's website. My own estimation is approx 70%+ is outside China.
I think starting next quarter they might do segment reporting to show what percentage is Chinese investors to help alleviate this whole issue.
haroit27 OP : The closest info I have got, is that 75% of client is in HK AND China. The risk in HK is relatively lower, they have rightfully obtained all necessary license to operate there. The question now is.. how many % are they operating in China?
But to even take a step back, will Futu really be so dumb to operate in China without license? I dont even drive my car without bring out my driving license. I doubt they will be as so dumb.
