$BABA-W (09988.HK)$ The movement of Alibaba’s share price is directly proportional to the relationship between the US & China! Remember this, China does not print money freely. As such, money is not channeled into the stock markets in China and Hong Kong like the way it does in US. For HKSE stocks like Alibaba and Tencent to grow, it is highly dependent on foreign fund such as the USA. As US still wields a greater power on a global scale, any strain in relationship between China and US will deter any foreign fund entering the stock markets in China and Hong Kong! This is the main reason why many people feel that Alibaba has a great fundamental but the share price is not going up :)
