Loading up on AEM before 3Q21 Business Update
$AEM SGD(AWX.SG$ I am currently buying AEM on batches in anticipating that AEM will announce stellar earnings during their 3Q business update next week (date TBC). I attended a SGX webinar a few months ago and the analyst shared that AEM's business should pick up near the end of the year and will definately be better next year. Although this coming business update might be too early for AEM to fully book the profits, I am optimistic and willing to take a punt that they will at least share that business outlook going forward will be great. Last but not least Intel's decision to set up their own chip foundries is also expected to benefit AEM. If AEM's price do shoot up after their business update, I intend to sell and focus on other stocks. On the other hand, If profits are less than expected, I am prepared to hold on to the stocks for my kids to inherit. haha 😸

Upncoming1841 OP : Bro, not exactly, I buy based on analyst's forecast that AEM's business will accelerate from 4Q21 onwards. Although the next business update is for 3Q, I am optimistic and willing to take a punt. Whether I make a profit depends on whether AEM's business outlook exceeds, meet or fall below analysts' expectations. Buying on rumours refer to buying a stock based on good news which may or may not be true, and selling when the company confirms or deny the news.
WinningTrader : Why do you want to hold and pass to your kid? How about opportunity cost? Unless you think this stock can outperform other counter much more in years to come.
