Invest and not trade

I bought $Bank of America (BAC.US)$ and sold it to trade $Futu Holdings Ltd (FUTU.US)$ ...bad mistake. Should have just bought and hold instead of attempting to time the market and trade. The earnings from BoA is exactly the loss I incurred from Futu. If you believe in a stock, just buy and hold would have been a better decision.
