Daily Poll: Vote for mother earth! Vote for the future!
66 points for all mooers who vote for this!
COP26, UN's annual climate change conference has just concluded. The conference once again put spotlights on Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), a hot trend in investing.
Finding companies with strong stocks and growth needn't be a trade-off with environmental, social and governance values. Companies like $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ , $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ , $Salesforce (CRM.US)$ etc. mix profitability with ethical and social responsibility.

Upncoming1841 : I think the pressure on institutional equity funds to focus on ESG is strong and will continue to grow going forward. Thus, companies have to embrace ESG or risk being ignored by fund managers. Retail investors, especially the younger ones appear to feel strongly about global warming and might shun those funds that do not focus on ESG compliant stocks. This is a phenomenon of this modern age and time where more and more emphasis is placed on the impact of human action on climate and the earth.
roem muhammad : there are just something's that are morally and inherently right, not to mention good for the planet. it's not always about getting rich while squandering our current and future habitat
