Yes, ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) investing or sustainable investing will be the next generation investment. Investors are increasingly considering ESG factors before contributing money and resources to a company or venture. Companies are expected to do their part to accomplish positive climate action and build a more sustainable & resilient future. Many believes that ESG investment will lead to improved and sustainable long term growth and returns, open up access to larger pool of capital and build a stronger corporate brand. As I’m in property related field, this is also in line with my company’s directive as we work towards attaining/maintaining Green mark, ISO 14001, 45001 and 50001 certifications and net zero carbon by 2030. On a personal front, I had/have invested in $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ $NIO Inc (NIO.US)$ $UOB APAC Green REIT ETF (GRN.SG)$ and a number of property counters which have put in place sustainable ESG policies 😊
