Rivian passes Volkswagen in valuation, Lucid runs hot, Sono IPO to the moon?
The latest market cap shocker from the $Rivian Automotive (RIVN.US)$'s IPO story is that the electric vehicle maker passed $VOLKSWAGEN AG (VLKAF.US)$ in valuation earlier today.
By the numbers, Volkswagen delivered 9.3M vehicles last year and Rivian produced 56 R1Ts and delivered 42 R1Ts total as of October 22 of this year. Of note, Rivian also has a larger cap than Caterpillar, IBM and Lockheed Martin.
What else could zoom in the electric vehicle sector alongside $Rivian Automotive (RIVN.US)$ , $Lucid Group (LCID.US)$ , $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ , $Canoo (GOEV.US)$ , $Li Auto (LI.US)$ and $Fisker (FSR.US)$ ? $Sono Group (SEV.US)$ is due to start trading tomorrow with the IPO starting to attract more attention. The solar-powered car startup is seeking a valuation of more than $1 billion in a U.S. listing. It also checks the box of being pre-revenue.
