$Progenity(PROG.US$ The shares of San Diego, California-based Progenity (PROG +23.6%) have reached the highest level since early April as social media interest in the small-cap biotech has gained momentum.
According to sites that track mentions of stocks on social media platforms, Progenity (NASDAQ:PROG) had maintained its recent lead to become one of the top five stocks with the highest number of mentions on Twitter in the past hour.
Over 179M of company shares have changed hands so far, more than double the 65-day average.
However, during the year, Progenity with over a third of its float on loan, has well underperformed the broader market, as shown in the graph below.
