$Apple (AAPL.US)$ Speaking as someone who's repaired two of his iOS devices recently and stopped buying new MacBooks after 2012 because they made them harder to work on: Yes. Yes, they should.
However, I will wait until I see Apple release their control-addict grip over every aspect of their users' experience to believe it. I imagine this will be less like "You can fix your own Macs again, like you used to be able to" and more like "We'll continue to use unnecessarily weird, proprietary parts, only now instead of doing it so you can't repair your own device, we'll be doing it so you have to come to us for every repair part, so we can still get the money from you that we would have made by charging you for the repair." I'm sure we'll need to pay them through the nose for our septalobe screwdrivers and T7.253 Torx wrenches.

9eb4qiNAAD : Sounds correct.

wallstreet wolf : "Home" repair is not what it means. it means everyone can repair and it's easier to obtain parts for the devices. Meaning 3rd party repair shops should have easier time repairing Apple devices. Check Louis Rossmann on Youtube, he will explain everything you need to know.
Selected one : Make sense, especially when stone handed customers cant hang on to something they shelled out 1K to own.
So instead of paying to have Apple fix your phone. You can repair it yourself and use the saved money to buy more stock. . .
