The IMF warns that inflation in parts of the world may “become more persistent” and urges central banks to stay vigilant

$SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average Trust (DIA.US)$ $Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ.US)$ $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said that if supply chain disruption continues or inflation expectations are disengaged, inflation in parts of the world may become "more durable." IMF spokesperson Rice said at a regular briefing that US inflation is expected to fall back in 2022, but considering the upside risks of inflation, policymakers should remain vigilant.
