$General Motors(GM.US$ Electric Boat is a great business for GM to enter with its strength on Ultium Baterry System and Manufacturing.
Pure Water Craft’s Outboard System cost $16,500 w/ one baterry pack, and $25,000 w/ 2 battery packs. Each battery pack carries 8.85KWH.
THat means PWC is charging $1,000 per KWH at the pack level.
We know that Ultium Battery costs $100/KWH at cell level, which is then 85% of cost of pack.
That means the 8.85KWH battery pack should cost GM $1,041 to produce, which is only 12.25% of what PWC is charging.
Sounds like a great business !
