African has a young population. That may be the reason why symptoms are mild. Europe and other parts of the world have high percentages of elderly. Symptoms may be more deadly.
It believe the 5.62 price have taken the VTLs into account. Further upside would require further opening up and more VTLs. Already, we have deferred VTLs with Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE. If the variant becomes more widespread and proves to be more deadly, more VTLs will be deferred. Needless to say, the price will fall further then.
