Soonho Ahn, Apple's global head of battery development, has been poached by Volkswagen.

This is the second senior executive to be poached from Apple's car-building team in less than two months, following Doug Field, who was in charge of the model program, to Join Ford two months ago.

Before joining Apple, Soonho Ahn worked in Samsung's SDI battery division, where he had extensive experience in battery technology. To the public, Ahn is heavily involved in the development of Titan's power battery system.
