$General Motors (GM.US)$ EVs have their place in the market as do diesels and gas. Needs drive product choice.
What will be interesting is the integration of time-of-use-rates (electric) and EV charging at scale.
Price at the pump is constant (meaning no significant intra-day price swings) any time one wishes to fill up. Not so with time-of-use rates especially when the grid is stressed.

mins counting : Great points. There are so many needs and obstacles that slow down the rate of EV adoption. Given the time to charge an EV, I can imagine that the rush hour congestion and lines at today's gas stations will be infinitely worse at charging stations when EV's dominate due to the dramatically longer charging times. Today if you;re behind someone it is at most a 3-5 minute wait. Imagine for an EV charging station!
HelloMark mins counting : I have an ev. hybrid. I haven't fuel up in months; all done in my garage with a common three prong outlet. How much time have you wasted looking for gas stations, and waiting in line to fuel up a couple of times a week?

Sam White Main Force : I don't wait at gas stations at all and can't remember the last time I did. How much did you pay for your EV hybrid, make and model. What was the premium over the same or comparable ICE model.
