Elon Musk replies to tweet on SpaceX staying private after "avenge the dinosaur"
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk says "a lot has happened in 8 years" after a Twitter user sent out a 2013 memo from Musk on why he wanted to keep SpaceX private.
The memo Musk was commenting on said that volatility in stock prices causes workers to become distracted and that Tesla and SolarCity were public because "they didn't have any choice."
Musk wrote in the memo that the valuation of the company at the time was about $4 billion to $5 billion. In October, SpaceX hit a $100 billion valuation after a secondary sale.
Previously on the 25th of this month, SpaceX has finished the DART mission with NASA – humanity's first planetary defense test to redirect an asteroid.
Would
$Tesla (TSLA.US)$ have any asteroid safety features in the future? Can you imagine Elon Musk to be a leader in space?

Revelation 6 : Indeed his team/company is developing technology at a breath taking pace and moving to practical application faster than most, but when it comes to controlling the use and deployment of those applications he will only be a manufacturer and not a commander. The American government will control their use and distribution just like they do the F-22 and the F-35. And when we land on Mars it won’t be claimed for Elon Musk, but for America.
