One of my daughters who was sick a few weeks after my husband died says her sense of smell is again gone crazy. She said everything smells like rotten meat. I wish they could find something to help you combat this crap you are going through.

rennymc Tanya C OP : I’m sorry to hear about your daughter. Sense of smell and taste is definitely one annoying symptom. I (and a lot of others I’ve talked to on the Covid Survivor Programs forum) smell cigarette smoke and poop. I’m constantly smelling cigarettes. It’s bizarre and I wish it were chocolate that I was smelling, but shit it is. The problem with omicron is it mutates rapidly. The variants keep appearing in third world countries because they don’t have vaccinations, yet here we throw thousands out each day because they expire fast. There are people in this world who would give their arm for a shot, while we have people who are pro-Covid in the US and will do anything to be purposefully avoid getting the shot to stop this stupid virus from mutating. Once they catch Covid it’s another story. They beg for the vax, antibodies, whatever they can take to stop feeling how I’ve been feeling for 11 months. It’s kind of insane to me that this is the only country that has a percentage of the population that wants the virus to continue on an mutating away. I will never understand pro-Covid peoples mindlessness.
