In 5-10 yrs we will wonder where do we dispose of batteries just like we are sitting on rotting nuclear warheads, hog tied by environmentals and bad engineering policy by the Gooberment.

No joke, I recall seeing billboards back in '15-'16 for 72 mo for a COROLLA....Holy smokes, a $17-$20k car (fully loaded) for 72 month 0%!! I dont know how people buy fully loaded full size trucks, those payments must be $900+/mo

Oversized, overpowered, over optioned cars are why most Americans are dead broke. 90% of Americans should be driving the cheapest Car - a Nissan Versa is a fine car for under $15k.

Im a Honda Civic guy myself. Proven reliable, and more American made than the "Big 3" trash made in Mexico and Canada. As an engineer, I appreciate a reliable A to B car.

ALL lithium batteries are recyclable. And the lithium recovered is as good as new lithium! Look up “Redwood Materials”! A former founder of Tesla started it.

A significant number of Honda civics are manufactured at the alliston, Ontario, Canada plant. I believe that plant is amongst the highest rated auto plants in North America

A 103” wheelbase car is a nice big family size - your Civic is a excellent choice. Very few people need anything bigger. I owned a 1987 Civic (93” wheelbase) that I paid $5,700 out-the-door. It was a perfect car for a young family. Owned it for 10 years and sold it for just under $2,000. Us engineers tend to have this crazy idea that a machine should be sized to fit a mission. LOL

Actually I’m doing quite well thanks to Tesla. Retired early! Own a M3 and a Tacoma. M3 is better. Tacoma doesn’t even have intermittent wipers! But I agree! Many people live beyond their means!

The batteries will last way longer than that, and when they do start deteriorating, they can still be used for stationary storage. After that, recycling. Check these guys out: https://www.redwoodmaterials.com/recyclewithus
