PunditSage : The vaccine was never touted as a forever vaccine. Boosters are needed for continued protection, just like folks get a flu shot once a year.
CuryNeil PunditSage : No more than maybe a month or so ago, boosters were NOT necessary, getting fully vaccinated was the key to stopping the virus. Now it is a booster, but the Moderna guy says this is a nasty and wacky mutation so the current vaccines are no good, so we need to redo them for this variant, so a booster would have been meaningless. The point is that the story changes every other day, and we act like this is the plague.
