$Meta Materials Inc. Class A Preferred Stock(MMTLP.US$ if we both holding mmat and mmtlp, if we sell all mmat share and hold onto mmtlp ,are we still have dividend if we hold onto mmtlp? Any kind advice

APE Dave : dividend is given for the mmtlp shares that you hold. no, you dont need to hold mmat shares to be entitled to dividend.

APE Dave Galactic Patrol: this mmtlp is a placeholder for the dividend itself, it is not the actual dividend. Visualize it this way, one share of mmtlp entitles you to receive one dividend of "trch" sales/ spinoff of its assets. (No one actually knows the dividend amount aa yet though).
APE Dave Galactic Patrol: Once you sell away your mmtlp shares, you lose the right to receive the dividend payout for the "trch assets sales".
Moomoo allows selling of it though, i tried to test sell some, and it went through.
But i am keeping the bulk of it for the eventual dividend/ spinoff.

APE Dave Galactic Patrol: err... if you really need to visualize it further, this mmtlp is an envelope holding your dividend/spinoff entitlement you have. The final amount you are getting inside this "envelope' is yet unknown.
So if you sell away MMTLP, you are selling away the envelope that contains the unknown amount of dividend inside.
Btw, no one knows exactltly how much is Mmtlp is eventually gonna payout or the exact date this is paying out.

APE Dave Galactic Patrol: example, if you sell mmtlp away at $1.40 now, and if future dividend declared is at
case 1 $1 : you are better off. cos u got additional 40cents by selling it away before the dividend is announced
case 2 $5 : you bang wall, you just sold the right to receive $5 for $1.40
noone knows the exact amount as yet, the $5 i use is for arbitrary purpose only
