BMWYY.US has signed a long-term agreement to ensure the supply of chips for interior lighting systems, Zhitong Financial APP has learned. Earlier, some BMW factories were forced to shut down due to a global shortage of parts. The company said on Wednesday that it had signed an agreement with Inova Semiconductor and GFS.US to guarantee the supply of millions of chips a year. These components will provide control over the environmental lighting system first used in BMW's iX electric sport utility vehicle.
