Short-term trading has long been popular with retail investors because of its skyrocketing potential.
It's not uncommon to make profits in the short term, but it takes a great deal to make plenty of them. Advanced short-term traders master trading skills, pattern identification, emotional controls, and position management to understand the market in-depth.
When the market fluctuates quickly, it is inevitable to miss the call in short-term trading. All we can do is not chase the market blindly and wait for the next opportunity! The rhythms of short-term trading are essential. To survive in the stock market, one should possess short-term trading skills. Judging the entry and exit points no longer relies solely on subjectivity and intuition but on quantitative science that values data and explores probability.
In reality, many short-term investors repeatedly make rookie mistakes because of lacking knowledge of trading psychology, leading to irrational decision-making. Rational trading mindsets and proper investment philosophies are essential to short-term trading success.

protraderx : I day trade all the time. When I first started out 3 years ago within 2 weeks my account size increased by over 55% and my biggest profit day was shorting Tesla for SGDxx,000 profit in one day using CFD. I have also lose half of that in one day . it's an emotional stressful job and very addictive.
My opinion is win big when first started out is bad for new day trader as it makes your ego too big and emotionally risk immune...very dangerous over long term. Day trading with high win rate over 85% can also be dangerous as it can turns one into a gambler.
What determined a good day trader or short term swing trader is not the technical ability in reading price action (even though this skill is paramount) or even high win rate. The key is risk management. Pure technical trading without understanding the psychology of the market will not work either.
Trading the small time frame is highly rewarding and addictive but also high risk Gambler better stay away from trading the small time frame.
Overall I have lose substantial amount from lack of risk management. Emotion is the biggest enemy.
