HOW TO DAY TRADE w ACCOUNT UNDER 25k
How to Day Trade using a Cash Account under $25,000 Account Balance.
Example:
starting account balance = $1,000
Monday - Trade $250, buy a stock make 10-15% sell lock the profits. $750 day trade buying power left.
Tuesday - Same thing.. use another $250 to scalp/swing trade things. Now $500 left to trade.
Wednesday - You’ll have $500 buying power but now that $250 from Monday is tradeable again since it takes 2 days for the cash to settle. This is a way you can get by day trading without having to wait every 3 days to trade.
Thursday - Use $250 again to scalp
Friday - optimally now, your account is at $1200 from trading all week.
Now you can do $300 a day the following week for scalps and day trades. And so on and so forth.
Also, another trick I used to do with cash accounts back in college was open multiple( 3-4) accounts through different brokerages. TD amertrade, Webull, Robinhood, MooMoo. etc
Allowing 9+ day trades a week 😉
additional tips/tricks of the trade:
keep losses to a minimum 3%ish. Buy in the late afternoon and sell early morning for momentum stocks in order to save a day trade. Buy near support level for scalps. Have targets and plan every trade. Have a reason for entering and exiting each trade. lock in gains whenever possible. don’t get greedy. It’s all about percentages when starting out day trading with a small account.
