I like to flip puts and calls on Spy. I wait until an hour after the market opens to get a feel for market direct. I then check the daily candle, then the hour, using the strat method to gage direction, then I watch lower time frames down to one minute for an actionable signal and the RSI to be over bought or over sold. Also like to short term trade stocks with low floats and breaking news. Watching the FDA calendar can give you a heads up on upcoming catalyst
