@ClydePeternuts :
Great dips occur before even greater climbs. Today is only the 4th market day of $Grab Holdings (GRAB.US)$ 's existence. I think we're getting rid of some fidgety day traders, as well as some folks from pre-merger that have lost sight of what they've bought into.

Note that bears love to point out how there's allegedly billions in float when the share price is on the climb. Yet somehow we're still seeing major volatility with only 7m share volume? OK lol.

4. AAPL - Buzzing Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Apple's stock closed at $179.450 last Friday with a weekly rise of 10.88%. Apple does seem to be immune to the ebb and flow of economic forces, and it inches closer to a $3 trillion market cap. Inches closer to $3 trillion market cap. Let's guess when will Apple hit the $3 Trillion Market-Cap?

@Sam Kelley :
$Apple (AAPL.US)$ Apple missed its iPhone 13 production targets by 20% in Sept and Oct, as component shortages and capacity constraints forced the company to scale back its total production target from an initial target of 95 million units to between 83 and 85 million. • HopeAlways :

  • stonks 30000 : thanks for using my post. hope it can make someone's day better, and also learn from my mistake.

  • HopeAlways : Obsession with short term price changes makes sense only for day traders who typically make profits from accumulating small gains and attempting to limit losses on as many stocks as possible. Maintaining focus seems to be a basic investing discipline but is a challenging task for many investors due to market noise. Heeding to this market noise is not beneficial as this tends to lead to short term thinking and even overreaction, which may affect our long term investment gains. Analysing each and every news or event, assessing its implications on our portfolios and trying to time the market can be a mindless task. Not all information is relevant or good. By consuming information selectively, we could avoid being distracted by short term market noise and therefore more likely to invest systematically without constantly monitoring our portfolios at short intervals. Our investments will go up and down in value due to market volatility. But the important question is whether this volatility will bother us enough to cause us to overreact and do something reckless. By ignoring market noise, we could keep our eyes on the real reward, which would be our long term portfolio returns.

  • Syuee : Market noise is dangerous to individual investors as it compels short-term thinking and over-reaction that can wreak havoc with long-term portfolio gains.

    Instead of listening to and trading on short-term market noise, individual investors are better off ignoring it and focusing on the long-term, mustering the discipline to stay true to their plans in order to reach their long-term goals.

    Rather than heeding market noise, long-term investors would be much better off paying attention to:
    [undefined] Maintaining a well-diversified portfolio with investments selected for value.
    [undefined] Re-balancing portfolios regularly and practicing dollar cost averaging - buying fixed dollar amounts of stock regularly to garner more shares when prices are down.

    This is a far better course than trading on market noise.

    Always look ahead, not down. Keep your eyes on your specific investing time horizon. Use that viewpoint to evaluate the noise you cannot ignore. This way, you will be less likely to be overwhelmed.

    So, instead of listening to market noise and haplessly trading like a scared rat caught in a maze. Give yourself a break, put your phone down, shut down your computer, relax, have a glass of wine and keep your eyes glued on the prize: your long-term portfolio.[undefined][undefined]

  • Syuee :

  • Syuee HopeAlways : Definitely, it’s better to shut off the noise and chill on. And focus on the bigger prize ahead.

  • HuatLady Syuee : I agree with you that it is dangerous to just blindly follow the market noises. The wise investors will be better off looking for quality value long term goals, and not be upset or overwhelmed by mindless gossips circulating
    around.

  • Jeet Kune Do HopeAlways : Good writing on investing and avoiding market noise to make sound investment decisions.

  • HuatLady HopeAlways : Your advice to adopt a selective listening mode to market noise sounds sensible, as not all market news are 100% reliable. Such news can trigger off a chain of unnecessary overreactions among the investors if they do not weigh such noise prudently.

  • UNeverSleppWell Syuee : Good sharing! Looking forward to more sharing![undefined][undefined]
