  • pennypincher : I was thinking the same thing. they are tring hard to shake everyone out. institutions may be selling some but it's just a discount for us. feels great to average down for once

  • pennypincher : look at GME it has dropped almost the same without the CEO selling 10 million worth of shares. that 2% difference might be that 10 million.

  • BlisteredSister : so you think.. too many moving parts to say for sure... why do you think we just saw a mass exodus of CEOs  of companies who just put up record numbers?? they knew what was coming.. and they did the smart thing. can't blame em just gotta try and outperformed em.

  • Betterthangold OP BlisteredSister : A record number of investing accounts this year hit $1 million. In terms of investors and CEOs, paying taxes is a very real reason to see a selloff at the end of the year. The overall market has been selling off for the past 3 to 4 weeks and when you couple that with CEOs selling stocks because they don’t draw a salary it just makes sense to see A selloff here at the end of the year. Adam Aarron does not draw a salary from AMC, his pay is gifted to him in the form of stocks so at some point he needs to sell to maintain his lifestyle. Others may be selling to pay a massive amount of capital gains tax for the profits in the market this year. Also, our economy is noT real stable So securing profits makes sense.

  • BlisteredSister Betterthangold OP : you just articulated my point. thank you! like I said its a lot of moving parts as far as business as usual, also crazy fiscal year that saw massive gains.. those ceo s would be smart to go out on top... like you mentioned we've been watching it for weeks and that's just something that comes before something like beginning of 2022. tons of unprepared companies will suffer greatly.. however some will thrive. both because they are just thr cream of the crop and some because they're smart and know how to play chess with money on the line

  • Betterthangold OP BlisteredSister : On the bright side patience will win. There’s been several recent articles in the past week I’ve read that companies are doing stock buy backs at a furious rate. This indicates that companies don’t foresee needing liquid cash and they’re bullish on the markets remaining strong and growing. 👏👏👏

  • BlisteredSister : I'm actually  thankful SNDL is postponing their decision depending on shareholders opinion. I think it shows they're not just trying to pump n dump. and it's pretty unprecedented until now that they actively seek feedback..
