Compared to Oppo's previous flagship smartphones, the performance of the 6nm components produced by Taiwan Semiconductor has increased by 20 times, and the power consumption of certain tasks has been halved. It will make its first appearance in the flagship Find X series of the company in China in the first quarter of 2022.

Oppo released MariSilicon X on Tuesday, which is said to be able to process real-time RAW images - the raw storage format that contains the most information, but also requires more computing power to process. This is different from other smartphones, which compress the captured images before applying artificial intelligence filters and improving image quality, saving time but possibly sacrificing fidelity.
When users choose a smartphone, video and image quality are crucial. Oppo states that its MariSilicon X can create AI-assisted 4K night videos with high dynamic range, applying image enhancements typically seen on still images to motion pictures.
On Tuesday, Oppo also released its first augmented reality glasses, Oppo Air Glass. This headset consists of a micro-projector and a single lens - known as a 'monolithic waveguide design' - and receives input via touch, voice, or head gestures. It is also planned to be released in the first quarter of next year.
