$Meta Platforms (FB.US)$ Stanford University is offering a course this semester that has a metaverse flavor. The course, called "Virtual People," allows students to wear VR headsets from their dorm rooms, or anywhere in the world, and take classes remotely. At its peak, up to 300 students may be in a single virtual "classroom" at any one time.
