Mr. Musk responded with a string of tweets, saying that he will pay more taxes than any American in history this year. "Don't spend it all at once… oh wait you did already," he wrote. ![]()

Elon Musk is the world's richest person with a net worth of $251 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, with the majority of that wealth tied up in Tesla and his rocket company, Space Exploration Technologies Corp.
