Does anyone know why stocks are merged?

102162592 : read somewhere stock listed in US market has to be maintained above $1. ZME did a 8-1 merge just to have the price adjusted so as to allow further drop of the share price (effectively). Pure scam.

Looking at how they have occasional insane price push (20-30% hike in few hours) followed by hitting a new low the next day further showed how the company has been trying to fool retailers. Pure scam zhangmen, disappointing that this is not called into investigation.

Few days back they even had a pre market transaction trading only ONE share at $7 to create false impression that the share price has increased 1x%. Shameless
