VinFast, a unit of Vingroup, Vietnam's largest conglomerate, announced on Tuesday that its VF E34, Vietnam's first domestically produced pure electric vehicle, has started deliveries to customers. Vingroup entered the automotive business in 2019 and has commercialized pure electric vehicles in two and a half years, and plans to start selling them in Europe and the U.S. in 2022.
The all-electric SUV model, priced at VND 690 million and with a maximum range of about 300 kilometers, is scheduled to be delivered to customers by the end of the year with about 2,000 units in January 2022. The model is said to have more than 25,000 pre-orders.
