An employee poaching war is seemingly underway between $Apple (AAPL.US)$ and $Meta Platforms (FB.US)$ . Compensation raises and bonuses are being used to convince top talent to stick around or jump ship by both companies.

In a report published by Bloomberg on Tuesday, Apple's bonus offering is not only said to be unusually large, but it's also out of season for the company. Anonymous employees shared that between 10% and 20% of engineers had been approached with the bonuses.

The war may have been brewing for months. Rumor has it that $Apple (AAPL.US)$ planned to launch a mixed reality headset in 2022. That seems set to go head-to-head with $Meta Platforms (FB.US)$ . Then Apple has reportedly hired away Meta's AR public relations head Andrea Schubert on Dec 26. This move seems like the last straw that triggered the war between two tech giants.

Revelation 6 : Apple could easily become the he king of VR. They have always been know for their superior graphics and this would no exception. Meta just sucks like it’s CEO. There’s a lot of money there but they lack the knowledge and are way behind on that power curve. I don’t think closing that gap will be easy.
