$Johnson & Johnson(JNJ.US$ $Pfizer(PFE.US$ $BioNTech(BNTX.US$ Johnson & Johnson studied 65 subjects who received two doses of Pfizer-Biontech vaccine followed by one dose of Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson booster.
Four weeks after the booster shot, Johnson's vaccine increased the neutralizing antibody titer 40-fold, while Pfizer's booster shot increased it 16-fold.
The data show that mixed vaccination "has the potential to induce strong cell-mediated immunity, which is important for immune memory and protection against severe lower respiratory disease."
The continuing potency of two types of enhanced immunity against omicron remains to be determined.
