Oppenheimer strategist John Stoltzfus is particularly optimistic about the stock market in 2022, predicting that as economic growth remains strong and policy makers take action to address concerns about price increases, the stock market will again experience double-digit growth.
Stoltzfus pointed out that the company is still increasing its holdings in US stocks while maintaining exposure to developed and emerging markets, because it is expected that the US economic recovery after the new crown epidemic will help promote global economic growth and lead to global economic expansion.
In terms of sectors, Oppenheimer favors information technology and cyclical stocks rather than defensive stocks. As for investment style, Oppenheimer said that given the background that interest rates may rise next year but are still at historically low levels, the company prefers value stocks and growth stocks.
