More active strategy

My goal is to slightly outperform the average. Due to US interest rate hikes, I expect that this year's stock market will be volatile with many ups and downs. This year's stock market may even end relatively flat. I intend to make use of this volatility to make short term profits. In order to adhere to this strategy, I have to be more active in my investing mindset, and not just buy-and-hold. I will monitor the market more closely and increase my number of transactions.

Hopefully by end of 2022, I will have outperformed the S&P500 by at least 20%, as I have this year.

I would also like to learn about the best options strategies. This is another way to generate investment income in a neither-bullish-nor-bearish market.
