$Sea (SE.US)$ I dunno why this is bad news. Tencent never sell. instead it now put its trust in the leader. and we are finally less of a “China” stock. so let’s see if the Forrest can be like mark Zuckerberg, Elon musk etc etc or just the next jack ma except this time no control from outside force.

102809369 : It’s a pre-cursor to selling…? Convert to class A shares then sell
kazekazu 102809369 : That's really speculative. It is really just reducing Tencent's control over Sea
102809369 kazekazu : Look at this article. Just be open minded about things.

Alaness OP 102809369 : Yes I read but they are not selling everything. This is very lenient compared to what they did to JD. It seems Tencent is desperate for money.
102809369 Alaness OP : JD was basically a DIS structure… there was no sale but to distribute JD shares to Tencent shareholders.
You won’t be able to sell such a big block of shares in the market in a short notice. The 6 months commitment not to sell is not really a good signal to me.
Alaness OP 102809369 : U think they will sell more?
102809369 : Probably? 6 months seems very short. When Prosus sold down their stake in Tencent, they gave a 3 year commitment not to sell another block. This kind of commitment doesn’t have a usual standard but was probably pre agreed.
There’s also the change in B class voting shares from 3 to 15, effectively reducing Tencent’s control to below 10% and giving the founder more control as per the announcement. That is an interesting move which we should give some thought on
