Co-Wise: How do you improve your trading mindset over time?

Long term goals

I am inexperiencied and am speaking purely from the context of what i learnt from my mistake. Long term goals does not need to translate to long periods between trades. I think it is important to set a goal for each stock that you own. Eg Owning AAPL and NVDA, even if these companies take a beating, it does not mean there is any fundamental difference in the earnings prognosis or operating model of the company, it merely means the market is moving elsewhere. These companies will continue to grow in the foreseeable future and your decision then is whether you can avoid the losses by selling and rebuying at a low, or just holding tight. On the other hand if you have decided to swing a trade on a short term basis and not as a long term hold, set a target profit value, and sell as soon as the price is in the threshold. Greed is good, but too much greed leaves you holding the bag while others exit. All the best on your investing journey!
