Long term stock

After trading for a few months, I realised that is not always good to sell and buy stock with small margin. I discovered that is better to long stock with good fundamental and growth for a longer period.
A few examples are AMD and Apple, these are the stocks which will grow and many times I found that after I sell, I may buy back again the the price increased. That makes me lose out than winning more.
