It's finally time to buy Chinese equities.”

The upswings followed a poor start to 2022 that has made Chinese tech stocks underperformers compared with their global peers, which were themselves hit last week by growing expectations of a rate rise by the US central bank. However, compared with $NASDAQ 100 Index(.NDX.US)$'s rebound (the purple line), China concepts stocks (the blue line) have outperformed.
Dickie Wong, head of research at Kingston Securities in Hong Kong, said global institutional investors and mainland Chinese traders were jumping into stocks such as Tencent and Alibaba on Monday.
Over the past couple of months, Chinese tech stocks have been lagging behind everyone else. It was already time for bargain hunters to buy in.”
This is the time for [Chinese] tech to rebound — at least for those positioned at the top of the market.”
—— said Wong.
What is China Concepts Stock?
This refers to a stock in a company that operates in mainland China. China Concepts Stocks are incorporated overseas, giving Chinese businesses access to foreign investment.
Investors may have seen China Concepts Stock listed in the world's largest stock exchanges, from the London Stock Exchange (LSE) to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE).
Historically Chinese stock exchanges have been closed to foreign investment, which has driven businesses to form China Concepts Stock. As the country develops its capital markets, China Concepts Stocks are expected to be a key driver to China's economic growth.
