Take A Break
For most people, investing in the stock market isn’t their full-time job. If you’re on this boat, then don’t treat the stock market like it’s your full-time job. It’s good to go a few days without looking at your portfolio or making any investments. You can combine your break with the weekend. For instance, you can take Friday and the next Monday off. Since the market is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, you’ll end up with a 4 day break. And if you’re on vacation, don’t spend all of that time looking at the stock market or worrying about it. Enjoy life and don’t take a slight uptick or downtick too seriously.
Life is too short to fret about the 5% loss or the 20% gain you missed out on. Just step back into the batter’s box when you’re ready to give it another try.
