Following a rocky start to the year, traders will get some time off from the stock market on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which falls on Monday, Jan. 17, in 2022.
While the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq are closed, stock futures will be active, including contracts linked to the Dow (INDU), $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$ and Nasdaq 100 (NDX:IND).
Metals and energy futures on Comex and the New York Mercantile Exchange will trade until 1:30 p.m. ET on Monday, and will reopen later in the evening at 5:00 p.m.
