Do one trade the news? Yes & No.

Trading the news can be an very straightforward method that alot may implement in their strategy but definitely there is certain risk to it as stocks are just volatile to any eventful or news that causes it to fluctuate.
For me, yes I do trade the news but upon evaluating on various instruments as well as Market info & trading pattern to put all the information together to come out with my own strategy.
A very good example for 1 of the most talk $PLTR.US$, a recent news showing Crathie Wood buying on volume on the shares closing at $14.97
https://www.moomoo.com/en-us/news/post/7691114/cathie-wood-loads-up-in-this-crypto-stock-as-it-crashes-----on-tuesday-----these-are-other-key-trades?src=2&futusource=news_stock_stockpagenews&report_type=stock&report_id=12715460&main_broker=WzEwMDhd&channel=4&skintype=3&level=1&data_ticket=1639796526933094
For me base on this news, I will definitely do more homework & evaluate on the situation & do my reinvesting on the Palantir as this is also one of my focus portfolio. Knowing that even it dip further than $14.97 yesterday. I'm still holding on to my lots knowing that it will eventually climb. It will be just a matter of time. What I can do now is to put in more buys on the lower price lots to bring down my average cost of my holding lots & using margin trading as an leverage tool to help me gain more threshold in terms of profit generating when it climbs & when I sell.
Of course, by reading the news, it may too be a big risk, let say for an example. Recently $GRMN.US$ release it's new line up of sports watches, alot may think & will follow & buy it to hope for its climb after the launches. But it did not really climb, rather it maintain & thus there are also many other factors that one should look into before putting in your buy. Reasons I feel why there is no climb, it may be the current pandemic outbreak which led to lesser outdoors activities & for most of the major market, Chinese New Year is around the corner. Alot may put their money to other good use such as necessity or on stocks that are generally trading on the dip & climb daily for pocket money which generate better ROI in the longer run which for me I feel to be much more profitable.

Thanks.
