Trade the New Learn from the Mistakes.

I do trade the news on my trading account, but not on my long term account or Roth IRA. Trading the news, without doing any research, is more like a gamble cause any news can send the price of the stock either way. For example, look at the meme stocks like GME, AMC, and DWAC, these stocks can move huge in either direction based on news alone, but not on the company's fundamental.
I traded on a stock ticker symbol BEST, a logistics company located in China, based solely on the news that it was backed by Alibaba and took a huge loss on it. My average cost is $9.15 and it is currently sitting at 81 cents. In my opinion, I do not recommended it with the money you cannot afford to lose. The lesson I learn from this is always do your own research by reading the companies balance sheet. The numbers don't lie, at the end of the day,  revenue and earnings matter.
