Buffett has a golden rule of not investing in industries where he can't understand, from a first-principles method, what that industry's purpose or value proposition is.
That's some very sage advice, as much of the latest "disruptive agile scrum data optimization business models" being diffused from silicon valley are just empty fluff, much like the valuations of most major tech company stocks LOL.
Invest in more concrete, easily understood businesses and industries, only dabble in the abstract cutting-edge shit if you have a few spare pennies to put at risk or you are very young and already wealthy enough to risk losing money.
